Salon Indē is the new home of industry veteran Laura. After spending the past several years at a salon in downtown Des Moines, Laura felt the call to own and operate a space that embodies her independent spirit and warm style.

Laura is AVEDA-educated; graduating from the Minneapolis institute in 2006. Upon graduation, Laura honed her craft on the salon floor and eventually landed a teaching position for the Aveda Institute in Des Moines, Iowa. Teaching provided the opportunity to master her skills and she was eventually awarded her dream job as a traveling educator for Aveda corporate. During that time, Laura pursued every opportunity to learn, grow, and share her knowledge with others. Her passion for this industry paved the way for countless opportunities in her career; and it is her love of teaching that has allowed her to share that passion with so many.

Laura’s award-winning styling work has been nationally and internationally published, she has assisted for the AVEDA New York Advanced Academy, and has been a featured stylist on stage at elite, industry-wide hair shows. As an educator, it was imperative that Laura stay on the forefront of trend techniques, high-end service experiences, and innovations in cut and color. Her skill speaks for itself; but it is her warmth, generosity, and authenticity that turns loyal clients into lifelong friends.
